FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Travel Lifter Now Available from Rand-Scot Inc.
A new, lightweight, foldable, pivoting lifter - specifically designed for travel - is now available from Rand-Scot Inc. of Fort Collins, Colorado - manufacturer of products for persons with disabilities. The new Travel Lifter Model TVL-601 features a lifting technique and geometry similar to all EasyPivots. Present EasyPivot users will find usage much like their present lifts. However, the Model TVL-601 weighs only 48 pounds - about 40% less than the lightest previous EasyPivot. Capacity of the Model TVL-601 is 250 pounds for persons up to 5'10" tall and 220 pounds for persons up to 6'2" tall (please specify your height when ordering). The Model TVL-601's weight when packed in its travel case (supplied) is 54 pounds. Designed for use away from home, the Model TVL-601 folds flat for easy storage or transport. Setup takes only minutes and no tools are needed. Once set up for pivot lifting, the machine is remarkably maneuverable. Most of the user's weight is directly over the two center-mounted wheels so the Model TVL-601 easily turns in its own length. Rear stabilizer casters are specially positioned and telescope to enable it to easily fit under even the lowest of hotel beds. Commenting on the new Model TVL-601, Rand-Scot's president, Joel Lerich states, "As our EasyPivot Patient Lifts have gained popularity, more of our customers are requesting a lift specifically designed for travel. The TVL series of machines should fill that need. With this lifter, the need to select lodging with Hollywood beds (the so-called "Hoyer Hotel") won't be necessary." These machines are available for purchase now and have a retail list price of $1,755 - including travel bag and luggage dolly. The Travel Lifter Model TVL-601 joins Rand-Scot's EasyPivot® Patient Lifts product line.
